The Donny Shirt From Friday Pattern Company

Friday Pattern Company has done it again, folks! They've just released their latest pattern, the Donny shirt, and it's a complete showstopper. I couldn't believe my luck when Paige messaged me to test this pattern, as I had been ogling similar shirts on my Pinterest board for weeks.

As a lover of bold colours and prints, I decided to use some stunning shirting fabric from Salt Lake Sewciety in my stash for my version of the Donny. The colours just work together perfectly, and I'm so happy with the result.

Now, I usually like to share any areas of concern when I write my blog posts, but honestly, this pattern went ahead without a hitch. Friday Pattern Company's patterns are always so well-written, and Chelsea's sew-along videos make things even easier (which is great for visual learners like me). During testing, there was one section that was a little confusing - the infamous burrito method - but the team updated the instructions based on my feedback, which was super helpful. The pocket was also brought in closer, so if yours looks a bit different from mine, that's why.

I can't stress enough how much I love my new Donny shirt, and I'm already planning my next one - the dress hack version that Chelsea made. I've been scouring my stash to find the perfect fabric for it, and I'm itching to get started. Trust me, this pattern is a winner, and you won't be disappointed. Make sure you check it out!
