Ellie Whittaker Jacaranda Fabric

This post is simple. We’re talking all about the incredible Jacaranda fabric from Ellie Whittaker. This fabric is a cotton linen blend and absolutely brilliant to work with. The drape is stunning and it’s so lightweight that it feels like a dream on the skin. I made Simplicity pattern 9749 in view B with added ruffles on the neckline and a simple square skirt.

The great thing about Ellie’s fabric is the wide width so I ended up having leftover fabric. I decided to make a matching dress for my mini me. I used another Simplicity pattern 8619 in view D but omitted the neck ruffle this time.

So what do think? Should I make more matching outfits?
