A Linen Remnant Patchwork Skirt

This year I’ve been wanting to use from my fabric stash including my remnants. This skirt came to be when I was in a sewing low and needed something to raise my spirits. I loved this colour combination of purple and orangey red. To spruce it up I quilted this as I went without having much direction. It was about going with the flow. I’m super proud of this and truly think it’s wearable art.

For the pattern I used my chalk and notch Evelyn skirt waistband to have a flat front and elasticated back. This way my bloat wouldn’t be an issue. I truly love this skirt so much and I wore it our entire trip in Moab when we weren’t hiking.

If you’re ever in a sewing funk try a quilting project with no plan. It’s the best!
