The Tate Romper - Tester Version

I had the opportunity to be part of the testing group for the Tate Romper for Kara from Small Museum. I have always loved her designs and how she upcycles. If you haven’t checked out her instagram that’s something you need to do, you will not be disappointed.

Testing was so fun with Jess from Jessilou’s closet. This was probably my first pattern where the pattern was nearly perfect through testing. That is truly an amazing feat. For my testing version I used a linen check from Gray’s linen in NYC. I picked this up on my first trip to NYC. It was a favourite that my hubby picked out so I’m super happy I got to use it 2 years later.

The thing I love about the tate is the how comfy it is. I also love all the hacks it lends itself too. For my next version I plan to do thicker straps and even add in a ruffle. My tips when making your own is to check your strap length and the length of your pant legs. Aside from that, you’re good to go! I recommend this pattern even if you have a larger bust. I don’t know what magic was involved but as a size D cup lady my boobs still look great in this.
